It’s beautiful outside. Sunny. High of 75. Flowers are blooming. Here are my tulips -
Anyhow, Pearl (that’s my pretty little Italian scooter, in case you haven’t met her) is all dusted off and has been fitted with a new battery so she is ready for service. She loves days like today. And I love her on days like today.

Here’s the skinny on this event – we don’t want to fill the seats of the Mt. Nittany Middle School auditorium to look good or give ourselves a nice pat on the back. Sure, it’s better to laugh with 300 than with 100, but that’s not really it either. We know something that many people do not know ~
Our God satisfies our souls as with the richest of foods
He satisfies our desires with good things so that our youth is renewed like the eagle’s
He satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things
He will guide us always
This is what we invite people to! But the inviting belongs to all of us.
I wanna ride. I dare you to give away all of your cards. I dare you to tap into Pearl’s little gas tank. I dare you to dare them to come and see!

STEP ONE: Share event and invite friends
Alright, Centre Church and friends! This week we are going to take you through a step by step process of being “invitational”.
According to dictionary.com, “invitational” is a restrictive word. It’s something that is ONLY for those who have been invited. Well, then, scrap that! We’ll make up our own definition, because we want Centre Church to be an INVITATIONAL culture. Here’s our take on it…
INVITATIONAL: The defining quality of a welcoming group of people who believe they have found something worth sharing!

Life is funny! An axiom for sure! We hold this truth to be self-evident, that life can indeed be funny.

Yeah, life is funny alright. It kind of keeps on trucking, regardless of our circumstances; and while we may be enslaved to our emotions, life doesn’t seem to pay any attention to our feelings whatsoever. At least we’re all in the same boat. Rich or poor. Young or old. This thing called LIFE keeps happening to us.
